  SKILLED NURSING UNIT

In addition to long term care, we offer a twelve bed (SNF) unit for residents with insurance and or Medicare Part A coverage requiring specific nursing and therapy services and meeting Medicare criteria. Our emphasis is on REHABILITATION.

BASIC COVERAGE CRITERIA

• 
  Medicare Part A
• Doctors orders for skilled nursing or rehabilitation
• 3 day hospital stay with a qualifying diagnosis
• Skilled nursing or therapy services must be required daily
• Person is admitted to SNF within 30 days of hospital discharge if benefit days are available.

There is a full staff of licensed therapists to provide physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy five days a week. Our therapists will work closely with your physician to assist you in returning to your optimal level of functioning.

MEMORY LOSS UNIT

WE DESIGNED our Memory Loss Unit as an answer to the special needs of people afflicted with Memory Loss and the caregivers who love them.

THIS UNIT FEATURES:

• Secured doors with numeric coded exits  
• Private dining room
• Beautiful living room with fireplace
• Fenced courtyard that features a meandering path
• Private / semi-private rooms
• Screened porch

OUR MEMORY LOSS UNIT also boasts its own activities director who plans and implements daily group and individual activities designed with this special population in mind.

OUR MASTERS LEVEL social worker brings her knowledge and expertise of the disease process to our unit. She is a former board member of the Alzheimers Association.
